About Us
Mission Statement
“To advance Ringwood Clocktower Probus Club as a worthwhile community organisation for retired and semi-retired people by sharing ideas and information and coordinating club opportunities through events and activities resulting in friendship, fellowship, fun and social interaction for members.”
History
The President of the Rotary Club of Ringwood Andrew Brownie, invited interested people to a meeting in April 2007 with the intention of forming a new Probus Club in the Ringwood area. There were enough interested people and it was decided to establish a new combined club named Ringwood Clocktower Probus Club.
The first general meeting was held at the Ringwood RSL on May 16th under the inaugural president Anne Oughtibridge.
Numbers have grown from an initial 111 members to 150 which is our current ceiling. These members are involved in the 30 interest groups which range from Bocce to Walking.
To keep numbers up to date with current and coming activities there is a vibrant and informative newsletter ‘Clocking On’ as well as our annual Calendar which is produced by the Digital Photography interest group..
Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of the month commencing at 9:30am in The Elms Room at The Dorset Hotel, 335 Dorset Road Croydon 3136.
